St. Albans Town Educational Center
Take I-89 to exit 19, St. Albans. |
||
|
From I-89, take exit 14W (Burlington) onto Route 2 west (toward downtown). Go a short distance and take the exit for Spear St./Hospital. Stay to the left and bear left making a U and crossing back over Route 2. You will be on Spear St. Entrance to the UVM athletic complex is on your right. From Route 7 (Middlebury, Charlotte): Turn right at traffic light just before Shelburne Museum (house converted to a doctors office on your right) and go straight to second stop sign (at top of hill). Turn left onto Spear St. and follow it for several miles onto the UVM campus. Turn left into athletic complex. To find the tennis courts, take main entrance, then turn right before you enter the main space. You'll need to go through a set of doors on the same wall as the Mens' restrooms, through the stairwell (going neither up or down), across the West Lobby, to the far doors. (Of course, following the signs for "Tennis Courts/Dance Studio" would be good, too.) Go through the last doors (fourth set) on the left, which are clearly labeled. Entry to the Tennis Courts will be obvious. |

From I-89 (Northbound or Southbound), take exit 14W (Burlington) onto Route 2 west (uphill, toward downtown). Go a short distance and take the exit for Spear St./Hospital on the right. As you take the right, bear left making a U and crossing back over Route 2 (makes more sense when you're there). You will be on Spear St., heading due South. Take the first right towards brick buildings, then right again; the Dining Hall will be a large glass-enclosed extension on the bottom floor of the Marsh/Austin/Tupper Residence Hall there. From Route 7 (Middlebury, Charlotte): Turn right at traffic light just before Shelburne Museum (house converted to a doctors office on your right) and go straight to second stop sign (at top of hill). Turn left onto Spear St. and follow it for several miles onto the UVM campus. Turn left into athletic complex (look for Gutterson Field House), then turn right and go all the way to the end, almost as far as you can go. The Dining Hall will be a large glass-enclosed extension on the bottom floor of the Marsh/Austin/Tupper Residence Hall there. Note: UVM's Parking Police are frothing rabid about ticketing, and the average ticket on campus is $55. Find the Dining hall, unload your gear, then drive your car back two zones to Patrick Gymnasium and park in the no-permit-needed spaces there. |

245 Highland Ave, White River Jct, VT Please note – According to the HMS POC Highland Ave has changed its name to Hartland Ave. This change is fairly recent and may not be seen on a paper or electronic map. As seen by the links to mapquest included in this e-mail. The POC at HMS recommended that anyone with a lot of equipment to unload park in the parking lot at the front of the school. Since this parking lot is small the overflow would need to park in the back of the school and walk to the front of the school to access the front entrance. Additional Helpful Information: For anyone who is coming to the tournament the location of the school is near the intersection of I 89 and I 91. It would be easy for someone to go to one of the local restaurants listed below.
